I don’t want to loose my friends…..

We are educated, uneducated too; we are son of millionaire, beggar’s too; we have salary in six digits, uff .. .. also on streets; we are in Temple, Mosque, Church and Gurudwara, at  brothels too; we are talking to sky in millennium cities and enjoying those millennium city’s gutters too; we are Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Sikhs too.

We have gone to schools with classmates, sat with friends and never asked their religion, in fact neither bothered to know nor felt any necessity. We had enjoyed company of classmates since childhood without any hate and difference. We shared the same dish without bothering about the caste, creed, community. We never hurt anyone and no one hurt us too. We have grown up from brats of Banglow/streets ………. to professionals/vegetable vendors.

Life was smooth until teenage. We have enjoyed company of every friend. We never thought of differentiating friends on the basis of their faiths, in fact even today we do not want to. And we know we are in majority and that too, with huge margins as compared to those who are spreading and executing feeling of differences in various religions.

Then who… who were behind partition of India in 1947, riots in 1984, 1989-90, 1992 and 2002 and various others unknown affrays.

Were they Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians….., nah! we were not there. Rather we were celebrating Diwali, Eid, Baisakhi, Christmas  together, me and my friends were busy sharing Gulal and Shewaiyan. Were they our educated friends……., nah! they were busy in their study or in furtherance of their profession. Then might be illiterate one would be there, yup! there are chances, but they were not so powerful and united to consummate such a big incidence. Were they our millionaire/ beggars friends, no not at all both of them were busy in collecting money as much as they can. … Then who?

The quantum of losses suffered by the society in those riots is very surprising and shocking.

We have lost 8,000 people in 1984 anti-Sikhs riots.

Approx. 300 Kashmiri Pandits were killed between 1989 to 1990.

We lost 2,000 people, most of whom were Muslims, in 1992 during demolition of Babri Masjid.

We lost 790 Muslims and 254 Hindus  and another 2,548 injured, 223 people are missing, the number of riot widows is at 919 and 606 children were declared orphaned in Godhra Kand in 2002.

These were some of the examples of menace caused by the people of India not any outsider, leave the terrorist and troops of  other countries apart. If we can not control ourselves how we even think to fight with terrorist and troops of other countries and expect to avoid blasts in Taj Palace, Parliament, Akshardham or Budha Temple.

We were never engaged in such activities then who planned and executed the same? Those who did the same are very small section of unscrupulous minds and they have no religion except religion of hates and differences, they did it for the sake of their personal gains not for any particular religion.

We are in 21st century, its been more than 65 years of independence we lost several lives in different riots.

Have we ever thought to come together and fight for justice of specially those who are not from our religion?

Have Hindus ever gathered at India Gate for justice of Muslims or vice versa or to light a candle of hope? I think No, why not?

I want to re-quote the statement of a famous scholar “If you want to get the world right start with yourself”. Hope all of us will implement the same in our life and shut the mouths of those who spread the message of differences specially on FB.

Because I don’t want to loose my friends, I can leave my religion not my friends.
